The Partnership

More ThanBricks and Mortar.

Keepmoat’s partnership with Knife Crime Matters is the result of a genuine belief that community safety is inseparable from community development. The homes Keepmoat builds are only as strong as the communities around them – and Keepmoat has consistently demonstrated a commitment to investing in those communities in ways that go far beyond the physical.

Mark Burley, Social Value and Partnerships Manager at Keepmoat, has been the driving force behind the relationship with KCM. His conviction that businesses have a responsibility to protect young people in the areas where they operate led to one of KCM’s most significant and high-profile partnerships.

Keepmoat sponsored the landmark Harvey Willgoose Mural at Sheffield Meadowhall – a permanent, high-impact piece of community art that carries the message “There Are No Winners in Knife Crime… Drop the Knife” to the hundreds of thousands of people who pass through Meadowhall every year. Alongside the mural, the partnership funded the provision of life-saving bleed kits to local schools and community establishments in the surrounding area.

I was proud that Keepmoat could be one of the sponsors and support the amazing work KCM is doing. We also took possession of our first bleed kit for the PEEL project in Hull where sadly another young man lost his life to knife crime. If there are any businesses out there that want to join us in helping to get a bleed kit in every secondary school across the UK – so that hopefully no other young person has to lose their life to knife crime – please get involved.

About Keepmoat

WhoThey Are.

Keepmoat is one of the UK’s most significant housebuilders, specialising in affordable and mixed-tenure housing on brownfield and regeneration sites. Working primarily in partnership with local authorities and housing associations, Keepmoat transforms underused land into thriving new communities across England and Scotland.

As one of the first housing developers to join the Institute for Social Value, Keepmoat has embedded meaningful social impact at the core of their business – not as a compliance exercise, but as a genuine expression of their values. Their social value programme covers employment and skills, community investment, environmental sustainability and supply chain engagement.

Keepmoat is a founding member of the South Yorkshire Good Business Charter and has won multiple awards for their work with young people and communities – making their partnership with KCM a natural extension of an already deep commitment to social responsibility.
