Knife Crime Matters and Wythenshawe Black Belt Academy have teamed up to raise awareness of knife crime in Manchester.
Part of this campaign is a 10-foot tall by 12-foot wide mural which will be painted in the shopping centre of Wythenshawe and unveiled with the help of leading media outlets.
Members of Wythenshawe Black Belt Academy will help in painting the mural, which will serve as a stark reminder to the dangers of knife crime.
The mural, and associated campaign is supported by the council and numerous local businesses have also become heavily involved in tackling this terrible situation.

Manchester Knife Crime Awareness Campaign
The mural is only one aspect of an integrated knife crime awareness campaign, being run by Knife Crime Matters and key partners.
To support the mural Knife Crime Matters will be delivering their full suite of educational resources to every secondary school within the region. These resources will educate young people on the dangers of knife crime and help them to make more informed decisions on how to avoid it and further help reduce it.
Eddie and his team will also be running some free defence against knives classes, where people can learn basic self-defense and see what else the Academy has to offer.
